At Cornucopia, we place a high value on the dedication, hard work, and passion that our fundraisers bring to their roles every day.

We also believe in recognising and celebrating excellence in the world of fundraising, especially when members of our team are publicly recognised for their outstanding work.

That’s why we were thrilled to congratulate Ed Williams for being named the PFRA Face-to-Face Fundraiser of the Year 2023 at New Zealand’s Public Fundraising Symposium.

Ed and his exceptional team have secured this accolade an impressive six times since 2014 – a testament to his outstanding leadership skills, unwavering dedication, and ability to connect donors with causes they truly believe in.

Ed’s journey has not been without its challenges, including unprecedented hurdles posed by the pandemic and extreme weather events. In the face of these difficulties, Ed has shown an unwavering commitment to his team, to the charities he serves, and to the donors he interacts with on a daily basis.

Rebecca Wood from Hato Hone St John, shares from her experience working closely with Ed:

We have been continually impressed by Ed’s professionalism and leadership, especially during a particularly challenging past few years with COVID-19 and extreme weather events. Ed approached these challenges with the utmost care for his team and the public and with determination to ensure that fundraising targets were met.

Going above and beyond expectations is one of Ed’s many strengths. He has actively contributed to creating face to face promotional videos for the St John Ambulance Service, aiding both their internal and external promotional efforts, and has worked alongside St John staff to approach and reactivate numerous fundraising sites in New Zealand.

As we honor Ed and his team’s achievements, we also acknowledge our entire team of face to face and telephone fundraisers who work tirelessly every day to make the world a better place. Congratulations Ed, and thank you for your continuous efforts to help charities and donors change the world together.
