Baden’s great shave to help beat blood cancer

by | News

We’re all proud of Baden Ring from Cornucopia’s calling team who raised vital funds for Leukaemia Foundation by shaving his head as part of World’s Greatest Shave!

Baden joined thousands other of big-hearted Aussies who shaved, cut, or coloured their hair to help conquer blood cancer.

World’s Greatest Shave sends a powerful message of hope to the 135,000 Australian families currently facing blood cancer — and the funds raised by participants like Baden help provide precious relief to those who need it most.

Baden says shaving his head to support Australian families was something he was proud to do, despite losing a head full of long curly hair:

“I was fond of my hair, but I felt like I was in a unique position to put a spotlight on the vital work that the Leukaemia foundation does to research ways to cure blood cancer.”

As a values-driven business, Cornucopia were excited to get behind Baden’s efforts, and he says he was also generously supported by friends and family:

“The support I received from management and colleagues in a short period of time was incredible. I knew Cornucopia’s passionate staff and my amazing network of loved ones would step up and join me in making a difference.”

When he signed up to join World’s Greatest Shave, Baden hoped to raise $500, but thanks to the generosity of his friends, family, and the team at Cornucopia, Baden raised an amazing $800 in total.

Baden and over 14,000 other shavers around the country have so far raised over $9,764,000 to further life‑saving research and support families facing blood cancer.

“It was a joy to see so much support raised as a team to battle blood Cancer”, Baden says.

“Many families will benefit from the support provided through World’s Greatest Shave, and to be honest, it’s been refreshing to not have to really untangle my hair every day!

“Thank you to Cornucopia’s leadership team and all the staff for sponsoring me and supporting World’s Greatest Shave!”
